Ian Fisher
Fisher’s painting practice is rooted in his study of clouds, the sky, and the medium of oil paint. In his depictions of clouds, Fisher transcends the boundaries of both hyper realism and modern abstraction creating works that stir feelings of wonder and astonishment experienced in the presence of something familiar. Set within the boundless constraint of the sky, the works evoke reflection on a range of subjects including beauty, fantasy and idealism.
